About Juxtaposie

When Kristen Hendricks stitched her very first handbag at the kitchen table, she never imagined it would lead to helping women and children on the other side of the world. Five years after the inception of Juxtaposie Inc., a video clip on the subject of human trafficking grabbed Kristen’s attention and heart. It showed girls as young as six years old being forced to work in brothels. "I was outraged and heartbroken. I wasn’t going to let this be one more thing I felt helpless to do anything about," explains Hendricks. In the fall of 2007, she and business partner and sister-in-law, Jamie Scroggs made the decision that Juxtaposie Inc. would not only offer a great product line and career opportunity, but hope and healing to children that have suffered from commercial sexual exploitation. Juxtaposie’s goal is to use a percentage of company profits to fund the administration of Purse of Hope, a not-for-profit organization they established to raise public awareness of human trafficking as well as support for the victims.

"As fun and fabulous as our handbags may be, we recognize purchasing one may not dramatically change your life, but it may change someone else’s. Thank you for helping us make a difference." -Kristen Hendricks
